Good Work in & for the Community
Good Work in & for the Community
We are green.
Environmental paints and cleaning supplies are used at The Still Water Studio.
Our guests drink fresh and delicious Texas rain water.
Our office, kitchen, and bathroom paper products are made from recycled, re-used, or biodegradable materials, and we recycle or compost as much of our waste as possible.
We support local business and shop from local manufacturers and suppliers as much as possible.
Products we choose for sale or use in the studio are locally and organically produced as much as possible.
We volunteer.
The Still Water Studio staff are active members of the community. We support a number of excellent organizations with our time and energy, including:
The Wimberley Mayor’s FItness Council, making Wimberley The Fittest Little Town in Texas.
Check out our Karma Yoga Classes
The Wimberley Community Civic Club Spring Event, raising money for scholarships, animal rescue, volunteer fire fighters, and other local organizations.
Wimberley Hill Country Toastmasters, nurturing better speakers and leaders.
Wimberley Yoga, a free online support network for all the yoga teachers in Wimberley and surrounding towns.
Hope Hospice. Cecilia is an official, trained hospice volunteer.
Arts from the Heart, a local non-profit offering programs for artistic experience and appreciation for children.
We support sustainable local farming.
We are proud supporters of our local farmer’s market, the bountiful sprout, and the many wonderful food producers in the Texas Hill Country, from wines to cheese to bread... and thou. These passionate people provide us food for our homes and families, and for our workshops and retreats whenever possible.
We sponsor & support local events.
